Coalitions

The Alliance for Better Foods: The Alliance seeks to encourage a fact-based discussion of the role biotechnology can and will play in foods. Members represent diverse agriculture and food-related groups, including farmers, processors, distributors, retailers, scientists, food technologists and professionals in other fields dedicated to improving nutrition, protecting the environment and fighting world hunger.

The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO): The organization represents biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations throughout the United States and in many other countries.

Council for Biotechnology Information: The Council for Biotechnology Information is an organization founded by leading biotechnology companies in North America. Its purpose is to share information about biotechnology, relying on scientific research, expert opinion and published reports as the basis for its communications.

The National Consumer Coalition's Food Group Newsletter: The National Consumer Coalition consists of nonprofit membership organizations with a combined membership of over 2 million people. NCC believes that a markey economy benefits consumers by expanding consumer choice and competition and fostering innovation, which lowers costs and improves consumer health and safety.

AgBioForum: A quarterly on-line magazine devoted to the economics and management of agricultural biotechnology.

AgBiotechNet: Publishes current information about biotechnology and biosafety for researchers and policy makers world-wide. The site provides rapid and convenient access to research developments in genetic engineering and updates on economic and social issues.

The Center for Global Food Issues: The Center, a project of the Hudson Institute, has published a number of articles and papers regarding agricultural biotechnology.
