Farm Facts Pencils

Along with the other new Farm Facts materials, the Foundation has developed pencils with "Farm Facts" printed on the pencil. Each pencil is imprinted with one of ten facts taken from the Farm Facts booklet. The facts included on the pencils are:

  • "One American farmer feeds 144 people."
  • "99 percent of all U.S. farms and ranches are family farms and ranches."
  • "Family farms and ranches in the U.S. produce 94 percent of all agriculture sales."
  • "Food is most affordable in the United States."
  • "One of every six U.S. jobs is directly related to agriculture."
  • "The U.S. has 2.14 million farms and ranches."
  • "Almost $60 Billion of American agricultural products are exported."
  • "One of every 10 rows of corn becomes ethanol."
  • "92 percent of young farmers and ranchers use computers."
  • "America's farms and ranches make up almost a billion acres of land."

Great for fairs and teacher conference giveaways, these are available in boxes of 144 pencils, each box contains 6 mixed colors and 10 sayings for $22.00. The pencils are red, white, black, yellow, blue and green. To keep costs as economical as possible single pencils are not available. Traditional Educating About Agriculture pencils are also available and can be purchased in quantities less than a box.
